Hi, I am 76 was diagnosed with prostate cancer and went thru radiation therapy, hopefully it was contained in the prostate. The radiation will cause you some problems with your bowels, but nothing you can't live with

To say that I am concerned would be an understatement! The response on this site has been not only helpful but calming. Thanks all.

Perrie123 Sorry to hear of all of your trouble. I'm sure you are aware that African American men have a higher percentage of prostate cancer than other men. I too am "old school" and was hoping I would be dealing with just male nurses to take the catheter out and talking about incontinence and sexual function. That worked out well for me. The younger male nurse that took out the catheter said he'd one for a couple of days and hoped he'd never have to do that again. I think men are just more compassionate with other men. My opinion only. Don't hesitate to get treated and ask if there are men that can do this.

@rd5851 Thank you for your encouragement. I'll try to get a male as you recommended. Yes, men are more compassionate with other men and have no agenda of empowerment of women or misandristic sadism. The biggest problem is that most nurse practitioners are women and women are dominant in male urology practice; if the opposite were the case there would be affirmative action to find members of underrepresented classes of employees. I think it is hard to find a job perquisite for men to equal the emolument women receive of almost unlimited access to abuse men's genitals as they wish. Even male doctors either are too busy to stop the abuse of men in their care by their female employees, or they just don't care.

@rd5851 Thank you for your support. I have decided that I want no further treatment for my cancer. These females have taught me that there are things worse than death when they are allowed to abuse me.

@rd5851 I only want those female skanks away from me; give me a private male examination.

@GoodKarma Do I have to have a female abuse me during this procedure?

@Perrie123 I am so sorry to hear of how poorly you were treated. I too fell that my privacy was not protected as it should have been throughout the examinations, but not to the point I felt abused. Someone should never have to feel like that and I am so sorry you have felt like that. I hope it does not deter you from cotinuing to seek treatment and help, because that is needed.
This may be a dumb question, but can you bring it up to the treating doctor and request a male nurse? Women I know do that all of the time for privacy, so I do not see why men could not.
Hope you are doing ok Pierre.

@GoodKarma I can't live with having my private genitals turned over to females to abuse me as they wish.

Thank you. It is important to note that men also have the right to privacy and not to have females abuse us as they wish. If I cannot have a private male examination, I shall have none. Better death than another female abuse of my genitals.
