Hi everyone, how are you doing today? 😊
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) doesn’t just affect the joints, it can also impact the eyes, leading to dryness, irritation, and even inflammation. Some people with RA develop conditions like dry eye syndrome, scleritis, keratitis, or uveitis, which can cause redness, blurred vision, or pain.
👀 Common RA-Related Eye Symptoms:
🔹 Dryness, grittiness, or discomfort
🔹 Redness or excessive tearing
🔹 Blurred vision or light sensitivity
🔹 Eye pain or irritation
💊 Did you know? Some RA medications, like corticosteroids and hydroxychloroquine, can also lead to eye issues such as glaucoma or cataracts.
Do you experience eye problems with RA? How do you manage symptoms like dryness or irritation?
