Living and working with RA is a never ending battle of decent days and bad days... no day is a good day. Stiffness and pain is constant, no matter the medication. Medication and treatments may help alleviate it to a degree, but never completely. You start having difficulty doing the most simplest of things, become frustrated, and can get depressed. What used to take you a couple of minutes (like laundry), now takes you 10!
You try to attend events, but after a long day of work, especially with a bad day, you are too exhausted to do so.
A big part of the battle is mental also. You have to be mentally strong, or at least try to be. Depression medications may be necessary.
