I was on Arava for 4 years, and it took a few months for me to get comfortable, as I could, not take Methotrexate. My doctor about a year ago added sulfasalazine. And about 4 months ago I had to stop the arava due to developing neuropathy in my feet and hands, but now they are wondering if the neuropathy is due to other causes, I recently had a full head to toe sided to side full xray done to check for nerve issues, as I told one doctor, no have never been in a car accident, lower back issues, but does falling off 6-12 foot or taller waves while surfing count, answer was oh yes.
however every person will react to medications differently, hope you find your comfort level soon

@Mark-IL Thank you for your answers. It's the mornings that are so bad. Going to physical therapy tomorrow to try to get some help in my back. I also have OA. Ugh!

Has anyone been on the med. arava? If so, how long did it take before you noticed a difference?, And No horror stories please, I'm scared enough on this new med. I was on Methotrexate for 4/1/2 years, when it stopped working and gave me nodules. I've been on Arava 8 weeks now, and waiting for the pain to stop!. Thank you for listening.
