Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is more than just an occasional urge to move, it can seriously affect your ability to relax and get restful sleep. Many people describe the sensations as creeping, crawling, pulling, or throbbing in the legs, often worsening at night or when lying down.
RLS can lead to disrupted sleep, daytime fatigue, and even anxiety about going to bed. It’s also commonly associated with other conditions, including iron deficiency, kidney issues, and neurological disorders, and it often coexists with sleep disorders like insomnia or sleep apnea.
