My mental health has had a major impact on my physical health. It causes me to have headaches, neck and body tightness, irritable bowel, insomnia, anxiety attacks. It truly feels like a curse

I want to say in my own situations that it definitely does effect the body as well.
I try to describe it to my girlfriend and friends that it feels like a black hole in my chest and at its worst will feel like it’s consuming my whole body.

Yes my physical health has affected my mental health and vise versa. It has it own affect on it and it shows when I am not doing good mentally it shows when my sugars go to high something is wrong. When my Physical health is acting up then usually my mental health goes down. They go hand in hand. It always does.

I definitely agree with what everyone has said. I think they're a pair. When I'm anxious or depressed the last thing I want to do is get up and exercise or even leave the house, but then by staying alone and like sitting in my own sadness and loneliness makes me physically ill - I get nauseous and queasy and my back and joints hurt. It's a chicken and egg thing for me - if I don't take care of myself then I feel bad, if I feel bad then I don't take care of myself.

Hello everyone,
Following our latest article on how anxiety affects the body (Anxiety: What is it and how does it affect the body?), I thought I would open this discussion so we can talk about the link between mental and physical health!
What do you think?
Have you noticed that your mental health has taken a toll on your physical health? Or is it more the reverse - that your physical health impacts your mental health? How do you cope with either situation?
