@Somya.P My neurologist gave me a script through the state dispensary for aid with sleep. It helps with sleep. The script is for low dose THC, so it aids with minor pain. I have learned through my trials of product that CBD gummies help with sleep, but not pain. In my state, CBD gummies can be bought at local corner stores.

Hello @achy38, how are you feeling today?
Thank you so much for starting this discussion. I completely understand your skepticism, especially if you've grown up with a cautious approach to drugs. Many people do find relief from pain using cannabis, but it's important to consult with a medical professional and consider your specific condition and state laws. You can explore this option, but always prioritize safety and legality.
Let me invite a few members to share their experience and help you gather some different perspectives:

@Somya.P It did not help me at all. However, some do have a measure of relief. My nephew does have some relief.

@Somya.P I use ice packs and a heating pad. I take hot baths as well. The ice packs give me some relief.

It truly helps me. There is times when I need dilated but it's rare due to the cannabis. Especially with CBD

Yes cannabis has helped me a lot. But it's expensive & when I'm out I'm in a lot of pain. Flower works the best for me. But I have used vape pens that work really well also

Hmm, I'll try to explain what it does for/to me.. this is not everyone's experience, though. I have autism, and I take prescription meds, so I don't know which one causes it, but I don't get "high," or euphoric or whatever. In my experience, Cannabis does NOT take away pain, BUT it is like the Cannabis distracts me enough that I don't care so much about the pain. At least for a short while. It only affects me for like 2 hours and then like I flipped a switch, it's effects are gone. And, before anyone asks, I have severe pain (NOT mild or moderate, it's intractable pain) from an incurable condition. The pain is there day, night, weekend, holiday, with pain meds or without, and with Cannabis or without.

Yes, it helps very much with chronic pain and I'm grateful that it's legal where I live. However, I can't smoke (emphysema) so I use the edibles. As to side effects, not everyone has the same and, in fact, some people have different side effects at different times. They can range from feeling upbeat and horny to just plain hungry (the munchies) and/or sleepy. However, the safest course when using cannabis is to treat it the same as if you were under the influence of alcohol and that includes not driving.

@uncleanatol Every person has a different experience. I had Medicinal for a year and then realized the CBD was what was working for me.

@HelloKitty I started taking kratom when I was diagnosed with cervical dystonia, it means I have constant pulling of my neck and shoulder muscles. Botox is the primary treatment , 6 to 8 shots targeting muscles but its hit and miss. I told a friend about this and he told me about kratom, so I went to a kratom shop and talked to the owner. He learned I was an Army Veteran and sold me some capsules. Unbelievable the kratom knocked out the pain and relieved some of the spasms and pulling that was 5 years ago, and I am still taking it for chronic pain. I have found the vendors to trust and a fbook website to share experiences with others. Like all things kratom must be handled with common sense, and reading info on the web helps educate us all. IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT HELPS WITH MY CHRONIC PAIN

Yes I agree. Im on morphine and Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen and yours as well. I have some others also. If I want to work in the back yard, I am sleep mode if I set down. The next morning and at night is paying with great pain. Its a hard road in many ways. We have to keep going best as we can. Have a smile and good day to you. I have the stimulator too.

Hello-
I have one friend who says cannabis helps them with their pain. I am still skeptical. Having grown up refusing drugs, its hard for me to grasp that it can be good for you. But, nothing I have tried so far has worked, so I may be willing to give it a go? But I need a bigger sample size than 1 friend. Has anyone on here tried it?Did it help? What were the other side effects?
I appreciate the help.
