I care maybe we can chat sometime. I'm sure we have some of the same issues that maybe we can help each other with.

Hi,
I feel your pain. I have suffered from depression since my daughter was born. It started with post-partum and I still get episodes quite often. I don't know about exercising but sugar won't make much of a difference because I am diabetic and don't use sugar but still have episodes. One thing I have found that works is going out several times a week just for a change of scenery. If you work, that also sometimes helps. I am retired so it doesn't do much for me but it might work for you. Also, I have been seeing a therapist which is a big help because you can vent to them when no one else will listen to you.
I am available if you would like to talk.

Thank you! I've battled depression since I was 16. I'm now 54. It's only gotten worse over the last 10 years. My first grandbaby was just born 3 weeks ago but I don't feel like I'll be a big part in her life. I'm the father's mother and live about 45 minutes from them but her mother lives closer and therefore gets to see the baby more often. This is a first for the mother's mother as well. It hurts my heart... I want her to know my voice and smell too.
I didn't grow up with a mom and my dad turned a blind eye. I've made mistakes and have apologized. Profusely! I'm far from being perfect. I raised my three kids on my own as my husband was active duty and gone a lot. His family wasn't there for me and neither was mine.
Thanks for listening. I'm hoping things will get better in the near future. I'm trying so hard to stay positive but those painful memories invade my head constantly and I don't know how to make them stop.

Take one thing at a time so U dont overwhelm your self. The more I do that the worst everything gets for me. Ive learned to do simple stuff first and gradually get to the bigger stuff. That is a suggestion I got from when I was just in the hospital in a group and also my counselor always tells me that because I try to do to much at once and get mad and then nothing gets done and I feel like crap. If you just wanna talk or vent you can always personal message me. Please just try to habe a good day and try not to rush things. I'm learning myself and don't have any friends becase they don't understand. That's why I joined this app to see if it will help me connect with people and feel just alittle better

I recently struggled with depression after having a traumatic experience. I'm now slowly recovering and making changes to my lifestyle, but I never thought it would happen to me. Thanks to those who were supportive.
