Long hauler. Had covid December 2020. In bed 3 months could not walk. Permanent nerve damage in feet legs to lower lumbar. On 600 milligrams of gabapentin. Still week. Had physical therapy. Walking but not great. Returned to work but can only cashier now and 4 hours per shift. 3 days tops. Still exhausted. Push my self to swim 30 minutes daily. Not aloud any steroids. No ritauxin infusions or plaquenil. Low antibodies so getting monthly ivig infusions. Till October 2022. But will not sit still. Will make it. Also got omicron February 2022. But not so bad..

I have not received Covid. I am vaccinated and boosted. It works. My husband came home sick with Covid and he was out for two weeks. I wore my mask and social distanced.

Not like i worked before covid. I was a body builder and studied martial arts. Use but pickup and over 100 pounds and unload driving a truck to restaurant s.. now can barely stand. Got nerve damage from covid in feet legs and lower lumbar. Now a sincecashier . Work 5 hours aday only 2 days. Tried 3 and 4 days. To much pain. Still workout and swim. But only 2 pound weight and 20 minute short swim laps. Very exhausted. Can't hardly go up and down steps. My bones are bad. Shrunk 3 inches since December 2020. Still can't smell or taste

Hello all,
How are you holding up?
Heart problems, joint pain, neurological "glitches", memory problems, recurrent fever... These are all symptoms listed by people with Long Covid (i.e. COVID-19 symptoms that last more than 20 days). Many patients are then unable to work. However, this condition is not yet recognised as an "illness".
And what about you? Have you been able to return to work? If so, how are you coping at work, is it difficult? If not, are you on sick leave? What are the current regulations for patients?
Feel free to share your experiences and thoughts in the comments below, your voice and experiences are important to us all!
Take care,
Courtney
