Hello everyone,
How are you doing?
Lupus can affect various organs in the body, and for some, it can lead to serious kidney issues, also known as lupus nephritis. Managing kidney health with lupus can be challenging, especially with the need to monitor symptoms like swelling, high blood pressure, and changes in urination. 💧 For those dealing with lupus-related kidney problems, treatments often include medications like immunosuppressants, steroids, and blood pressure management, but it can take time to find the right balance.
Some people may need to make lifestyle changes, such as following a low-sodium diet, staying hydrated, and avoiding medications that can strain the kidneys. In more severe cases, dialysis or even a kidney transplant might be needed. 😔
Have you been diagnosed with lupus nephritis or experienced any kidney issues due to lupus? What treatments or lifestyle changes have helped you manage these symptoms?
