@missyou2003 I second what @BeachLife18 said.
After you told your doctor did she do anything when you told her? If that was 8 years ago... was it like she just dismissed what you told her the other doctor said?

I was diagnosed. I am not over weight and I don't drink. I was diagnosed 5 yrs ago. I have no problems and my doctor also seemed to not worry about it.

I was diagnosed about a year ago by a gastroenterologist NP after they took my gallbladder out and did a biopsy. I love her and she sat me down and told me how bad it could get and that the best thing I could do is change my lifestyle such as lose weight, more exercise, and low-fat diet. She set another appointment 1 year out. Sadly primary hasn’t really addressed it and I am struggling to lose anything. I am pretty scared because my last ultrasound said severe fatty liver.

I was diagnosed about 5 years ago. No explanation, no “ how this happened”, or any info at all. Pretty much this is what you got, and you need to lose weight. No diet plan was given. They tell me to get rid of the belly fat, but that was it. I have tried diets, diet pills, exercising as much as I can. Nothing helps

I was told to lose weight. It's hard to exercise because I have Asthma and I get short winded very easily.

@BeachLife18 @nanettekeller @tater1077 I second beachlife to be careful with the diet pills. Those things can further damage our aleady damaged liver. be careful. Try to do natural things, like green tea, fish oil, exercise, walking, and eating in moderation.

One of the main complaints of those diagnosed with Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is that the doctor spent little to no time explaining to them their condition, the prognosis, and the plan of care at the appointment where they received their diagnosis or where they were told the findings of the medical studies revealing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
What has been your experience? Did you have a similar experience or did your doctor explain to you the condition? The plan of care?
