I have two fur babies now as our Maltipoo, Mopsy went to the Rainbow Bridge this past Christmas. My two pooches are awesome and so faithful. I love them so much and they always love me right back! They are my little piece of heaven, blessings from above.

Hi all. I have an 8 yr old Pug named Fancy Kynn. She’s not a registered companion pet but she is my companion she knows when I’m having issues with my diabetes ( mostly at night) and she will nudge my face to wake me up. Many times she has saved my life!! She also tries to comfort me during a pancreatic attack by laying as close to my belly as she can ( that’s where my pain is). I live alone and I just don’t know what I’d do without her. Also she only has one eye. She just lost it two years ago so we just help each other.

@Witchy65 Aw, she is so cute! That's amazing how animals, especially dogs, have that "sense" of when we're not feeling well or when we're going through something! Sending her lots of virtual pets and scratches!
Take care,
Courtney

I have an ESA dog her name is Hope. She’s a rescue. She was for my boyfriend who is a 5x cancer survivor but I’ve gotten so attached and love her to bits. She currently had surgery for lumps on her nipples and had a few removed and on her paw. She is so comforting when I’m in pain which is almost 90% of the time. She’s the sweetest. I’m even more stressed now that I love her so much and waiting biopsies results. I don’t know what to do without her. She also has PTSD because she was abused. After having her for 3yrs she trust us enough to pet her and baby her even more that she hurts.

@Witchy65 it’s crazy how they sense our pain somehow. And they know when we are anxious or sad. I think we were put on this planet to make them happy for however many years they live.🥰🐕

@Dragon29
isnt it amazing?? I just don’t understand how anyone could abuse an animal. I know Fancy came to me for a reason and yes I love to spoil her and just love on her!!

I have two of them, I call them my therapy cats. Suzie and Destin. Cheaper than an actual therapist and no insurance company to deal with.

Here Hope in her surgical suit to protect her stitches from her mastectomy. Still waiting for her biopsy results. I can’t bear to think of her hurting or any cancer DX. I pray she’s well I don’t think I can handle losing her. I don’t know how to deal with loss of a dog. I’ve never loved a dog in my life more than I love Hope🥰🐕💔

@Dragon29 I had to have one of my cats put down once after he developed lung cancer. The vet even wrote me a letter telling me that it was the most humane thing to do. I polished off most of a bottle of Vodka after giving the two vets the euthanasia permission. You have to have two of them on the phone at the same time to have it done. I'll never forget Fred.

Hello everyone,
I thought I would introduce a new "fun" topic for everyone today:
Animal therapy is known to have a very positive impact on the moral for those dealing with chronic conditions. Our furry friends can us provide both comfort and companionship!
I wanted to ask you, do you have an animal to help you? If so, what kind? How does your animal help you?
Please let me know in the comments, and feel free to share a photo or two!
Take care,
Lee
