Hello everyone! I have three furbies. All chihuahuas. They are under 3 and so cute and cuddly. My 2.5 year old is so calm and quiet I take her everywhere to help with the anxiety of being out around people. Of course right now we stay home as much as possible.

@Dreambig1976 Aw I have a special place in my heart for chihuahuas, my grandmother had one when I was growing up and he was the best!
My wife has a bird, and while I never thought I'd be a "bird guy", he's actually a really great pet. He super smart and surprisingly affectionate. Just the way he makes my wife happy make me happy. Our house would be empty without him.

I have a cat. I have had him since he was 3.5 months old. He is now almost six years old. He is a black and white tuxedo. When I am not feeling well he is right by my side. He also helps with my anxiety.

I have a miniature long haired daschund who follows me around the house and always sits with me. She is my comfort and joy!
20 years ago our oldest son was murdered and we got his German short haired pointer. She was my comfort through the most difficult part of the grief, she was super sensitive to when I was very low and needing a Long “hug”! While she wasn’t a lap dog, she would get into the recliner with me!! We have her cremains on the dresser in our bedroom ❤️❤️

@ PTaylor . Goldens are my " breed of choice" . We currently have Daisy, she's 11years old,and got a touch of the "sugar face" . Honestly, I would NEVER use the word dumb to describe her. She's loving ,and loyal, friendly, always wants to be by your side ( better than any man!!!) . She's our 1st full golden. We've always had golden mixes ( we're VERY MUCH INTO RESCUE) . We happen to get Daisy as a friend of mine had to move to a highrise for people with disabilities ( and THEY DIDN'T ALLOW DOGS...WTH???At least not the quintessential therapy dog ... GOLDEN RETRIEVER 🙄😡). BUT, THIS WAY , Daisy gets a full backyard, room full of toys , hoping to get her a playmate

Where would we be without the unconditional love our four legged friends give to us. After reading the comments, all of us say the same thing, my wife and I have had yorkies for forty years, raised 4 boys around them, boys are gone ,just retired and bought some more,we have four, raised from puppies and they are our greatest support, we both have health problems, mood swings but they are always there, they know when to just jump in our laps and cuddle or give us a kiss, we'd be lost without them, we're breeders and there's a big demand for yorkies, but we're selective and only let our puppies go to those who will benefit from what they offer, a few years ago we had a very close friend loose her husband, depression took over her completely, we hadn't seen her for several months and when we saw her she broke down and told us she was seeing a psycholigist and it wasn't helping, the next day we gave her a baby yorkie, over the next month our friend came back to us, her life had been restored to her, her doctor was amazed and is now using animal therapy with those that need it, and with great results, he is now a believer, for those of you out there struggling, this could be what you need in your life, even if you've never an animal try it, your life will experience something it's never felt

Hello everyone,
I thought I would introduce a new "fun" topic for everyone today:
Animal therapy is known to have a very positive impact on the moral for those dealing with chronic conditions. Our furry friends can us provide both comfort and companionship!
I wanted to ask you, do you have an animal to help you? If so, what kind? How does your animal help you?
Please let me know in the comments, and feel free to share a photo or two!
Take care,
Lee
