Hi my name is Joe and I live in Maryland. I have severe copd and am very high risk. As a veteran and a risk taker all my life I feel we must reopen the country. The solution is becoming worse than the problem. I am 62 and I want the young people to have a chance!

I would prefer to err on the side of slow opening then have a more robust openning. I don't want to see the virus going up and being worst the last one we are getting over.

I do believe that this is not over i live in federalsburg Maryland i was a HHA but because i have lung disease i stop working no gowns , no masks just gloves i im 58 years old going in and out of place and people's homes are not good with underline condition and to reopen now is a big no no especially for the elders and people's with underline condition it should be about people's health and not the wall street this not going away until we have a national lockdown we do not have a lock down we are just in a stay a home order and many don't do that putting ours in harm's way but hay your president said that may more my die but i am not until God say so until i feel it's safe to travel or go places i am staying home and no i did not buy a lot of toilet paper and that crazy stuff they buying up and i pay my bills cause after all this that's going to be a big issues for people except for the one that going through now something we can't see has came and turned this world up side down so it going to take something or someone that we can't see to fix it we have took God out of everything and everything thing we worship and like to do has been token from us from going outside to a park to going to church all closed up but yet the ready to fight something that they can't see and who is who? They say who but never tell you about who the president keep lying and some keep on believing in him find yourself dead, homeless, hungry, better wise up and you wisdom the president just wants votes and don't care about you or your family this is my opinion and what i think about all this if you really read and listen to what's going on and beenig said they knew about all this before it hit us so what that tell you all people and we all are doing the poor and rich, black and white no matter what color or race they dieing by hunders and thousands a day wake up people's money get what want but it not of value when you're dead you see they're asking for the dead man's money back and he may had passed after it came or was sick but hay you spend if you DEAD so why mess around with covid-19 until you know that you know that's it's safe ?????????????

I live in NE Florida. Tho statically we have done ok it still makes me nervous. Other than quick runs for grocery shopping or pick up prescriptions I stay home. 25% maximum & 6ft distance for restraurants but I have no plans to go. I have been off work for 6 weeks but I go back next week, the 13th & I work in retail (grocery). Can only do my best to stay safe, mask, wash hands throughout the day, use hand sanitizer & 6 ft apart from customers.. Biggest concern is those who do not take this serious by ignoring 6 ft distance, no masks. AND I do hope the NFL is not going to continue as usual with 60,000+ fans in the stands. How could they follow CDC guidelines???

@MJones99 ..I agree with you I am in new York upstate new York but still we got hit hard and while all these big babies are crying about not being able to go to the bar and hairdresser people are dying and we have many issues I think its too early and chaos will be created by opening too swiftly

I live in NC. We are in phase 1 of reopening as of last Friday until end of May. They have allowed some businesses to reopen but not restaurants, bars, salons. I am a traveling account manager so my job requires me to fly and drive a lot seeing customers. I have been able to work from home since March because my company serves the food service industry. I do not plan to resume regular job travel anytime soon. May not through the end of the year until we see a dramatic decrease in cases. It’s not worth the risk being autoimmune compromised. I think we are going way too fast on reopening but I also understand people need incomes.

I'm worried about this too. I've heard of so many cases where people didn't have symptoms and found out they had it later. What is going to happen when the people who maybe carry it and have never been tested since they didn't show symptoms go out into the world doing their daily lives amongst people who weakened immune systems? Will they be able to spread it? I feel like there's so much we don't know about this virus and I'm afraid that the country is making a choice for $ over human lives. Not trying to get political, but it's just how I keep thinking about it and I'm genuinely curious.

Hello everyone, I thought I would check in and see how are you are all holding up? If you haven't seen it already, we just published an article that brings together a lot of the questions you may be having about the end of the lockdown.
What do we currently know about the virus? If I had the coronavirus am I now immune? Could summer slow the spread of the virus? When will there be a vaccine?
We tried to answer all those questions and more in the article! Feel free to take a look and let us know what you think! Here's the link:
End of the COVID-19 Lockdown: How to Carry On with the Coronavirus?
Take care,
Courtney

@bigpiggy17 I agree with you on that ! I am in the middle in NYC and Albany, they are pushing too fast to open here, with our numbers are high. Over 3,ooo today and 178 deaths :( . The only thing I see is people wanting money, and freedom to do their usual fun things, is more important than people dying around here. :(

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
If you haven't already seen it, we've started a new challenge: Who's behind the face mask?
All of Carenity's community managers took a photo of themselves in their face masks, so we're playing a little guessing game to lighten the mood!
You can find the challenge just here: Challenge: Who's behind the face mask?
Feel free to join in on the fun!
Take care,
Courtney

Hello everyone,
If you haven’t already seen in the news, many countries in Europe and elsewhere in the world are starting to discuss or put measures in place to end the COVID-19 lockdown.
The White House recently released guidelines for reopening the nation in three phases to be implemented on a state-wide or regional basis. Before initiating the phased comeback, states must satisfy the following criteria:
The three phases run from continued remote work and physical distancing for vulnerable individuals, to schools reopening and nonessential travel resuming. The last phase of the plan allows vulnerable individuals to participate in public interactions and permits employers to staff work sites without restrictions. For more details on the individual phases, you can take a look at the proposed plan here.
Is your state preparing to end its lockdown? Do you think it’s too early? What do you think the impact will be on people with chronic illnesses?
Feel free to share your thoughts below!
Take care,
Courtney
