I'm in Florida, a Hot Spot. But our Governor continues to day our hospitals capacity is ok. We're having high positive rates daily. And in Duval County, where I live we have hundreds test positive everyday. I feel the county I live in needs to back off from Phase Two but our Mayor has done nothing. And we have our Governor who will not make it requirement for everyone to wear masks. Scary around here!

We have MS and we need to hear what is best for us. My husband and I aren't happy with the way some of the governors have NOT done what is best for us. They are now the states that are the newest hot zones. With my community health background, I can understand why they are the newest hot zones. People who refuse to wear masks, refuse to stay apart from others, who "want to party",...they are the exact reasons why we're going to have a second, third, fourth and fifth wave if people don't start doing what is right. Unfortunately, it's not political. It's just complete lack of common sense.
I'm thrilled that I've had Community Health education because I can tell my friends and family what they need to do, and what they shouldn't be doing. :-)

Hello everyone,
I hope you are doing well.
I first would like to thank you all for participating in this and our other COVID-19-related discussions. I hope they have been a source of clarity or comfort for you all.
I think we are all aware of what tense and difficult times we are living through, especially for those of us with chronic illnesses. Tensions are high and emotions are raw as the full extent of the impact and outcome of the virus is still partially uncertain.
While we may agree or disagree about how our town, county, state, or even country is responding to the pandemic, I’d like to ask that we keep politics out of our discussion where possible. Whether we agree or disagree, this is meant to be a discussion to share our thoughts, questions, information, and above all support.
I’d also like to remind everyone the importance of being kind during this difficult time. Carenity is here to allow everyone to connect, share and support one another through our illnesses with kindness and respect.
Let's agree to continue the discussion with this in mind.
Wishing you all a safe and happy week!
Take care,
Courtney

@egwcaw Yes I agree with you, total lack of common sense! I wish people would think less about themselves and more about others. I don't have an auto-immune condition and my medications don't affect me in that way (at least I hope they don't, haha) so I'm not necessarily wearing a mask for me. I'm wear it for the other people around me who are maybe immunocompromised or who may come in contact with someone who is immunocompromised. If we all come together on this, maybe we'll start seeing the numbers drop again.

We live in Arkansas and yes it's going up some Covid-19 But I don't worry about and No I don't believe they second waves coming I believe government want the number up that where get money for the states. Also they talk if our President Trump win thing will reopen lot quickly then if Democrats win which they favor keeping everything close. Yes I have wk. In 3 different hospitals before as CNA. I still believe if we are sick stay home wash your hands do other things help out and I believe kids need go back to schools But if child sick let them stay home

I am very concern due to my diabetes and COPD and HBP, this virus is serious and I see a lot of people out there walking around without mask, Right now I have to go in for a procedure for my heart and I am so afraid, because I heard that no visiters are allowed, and i dont no how long I would be in the hospital.

@Cora52 I just read an article on Medscape that a group of doctors don't think it's a good idea to keep all visitors out. They said that patients need some good energy to help them heal, coming from even one family member. I know that if I became ill, I doubt I'd let my hubby take me to the hospital. I don't want to die alone. It's the worst death imaginable. If I can't hold my husbands hand as I slip into the next world, I'll just stay home and die.
I'm wondering how others might feel about this.

I pray there won't be but the way some people aren't taking this seriously doesn't give me a lot of hope. There is no answer.
And yes God will heal us but we need to do our part .
Also lets think about the over worked nurses and all health care providers .
Wear a mask. I don't understand why this is such a hot issue. Just put it on.

Hello everyone,
How are you doing today?
As countries throughout the world are and have been coming out of lockdown and life is begining to return to "normal", many people and health authorities have begun to ask the question: Will there be a second wave of COVID-19?
And you, what do you think? Do you think we will see a second wave of COVID-19 outbreak? What should we do to prevent a resurgence?
Feel free to share and discuss any doubts, fears, and feelings you may be having in the comments!
Take care,
Courtney
