That taking your rescue inhaler works quickly, immediately, or at all. I've had multiple situations where I was rushed to the ER because my inhaler did nothing.

Do you have a nebulizer? Works much better. I find my inhaler doesn't always work so I do nebulizer. I even bought a portable one

People think that if you have asthma you should not participate in any physical activity or sports... or at least when I was younger, this was a common misconception I experienced.

I think each person knows their limitations, I hope. I try to stay in shape and have realized weather makes a big difference for me.

@Donmarie same here; The cold for me is much more difficult and this can even be experienced from making the walk from the parking lot to inside the gym... I know I need to take it a bit easier that day.

Yes it seems to help if I wear a facemask. I asked my pulmonologist and he says its just the asthma but I dont like chest pains and especially when I breathe in and it feels like I am cracking a rib. Take care!

Anyway to get back to the topic. I do walk my dog depending on weather. I do some stretch exercises and my indoor bike. I feel so much better with exercise, mentally and physically.

I have been diagnosed with chronic severe Asthma, COPD and chronic respiratory failure. Weather plays a big role for me, especially wind. I usually stay indoors on windy days.

@Donmarie Agree. What kind of facemask do you use?

@peppervaldez69 wind and cold. I do not think that is a misunderstanding of asthma, but the truth.
Cold and wind makes breathing difficult. Do you think the wind is because wind seems cold to our body?
