@Fred l9 I'm the only child, but the thing is she has put ME in counseling. I don't trust counselors, and it never helps anyway. She use to abuse me physically and to this day she still denies it. Now she abuses me emotionally and mentally. She wouldn't let my ex and I stay together because she said it wasn't fair that I had someone and she didn't. She told my family the reason why she made us break up is cause he's 18, but that's not the case at all. She's jealous of me that's why she keeps me prisoner, cause she doesn't want me to be happy. She is jealous of my looks and my life so she always tries to ruin it. I can't have a phone and she took my hair products/acne treatment as punishment.

@Fred l9‍ Also, she has always been like that. She is a horrible person and I hate her. She won't be in my life when I get older cause all she does is make me miserable. None of my friends like her, and a lot of my friends parents wanted me to move in with them, but that woman won't let me leave. I tried to get emancipated on my 16 birthday, but she wouldn't. She would always say that she wanted me gone so she didn't have to waste her money on me.

This isn't empty nest, this is abuse pure and simple. Empty nest is when the couple's children are gone and they're stuck having to deal with each other. Her parents aren't even living together.

@Kenzie22 Have you tried the domestic abuse hotline? I know the last social worker sucked but maybe there's one that doesn't. I know you don't have a phone but maybe you can message them. It's worth a shot. There must be someone you can chat with their and explain what's going on, I mean this really is horrible. Your mother has absolutely no right to be doing this to you.

@castledepress You also need to keep a diary. This is very important, write everything down. Keep it hourly if you can. Write any ideas, what's going on, everything. Do you have access to your own mail or does your mother open everything?
