I'm not sure what triggers my depression. It gets bad sometimes even with medication. My mind thinks for me so negative. I can't stop it sometimes . And I feel like I can control my thoughts

Never thought it would be a time where I turned to drinking just to feel happiness... if I could sleep and drink that’s exactly what I would do every single day.. I am mentally tired. I can’t go to class or focus on work because I just feel so down and unappreciated... I think it’s time I seek serious help. Never thought I would get to this point in my life but I just feel so drained...

@Mzharris09 there is nothing wrong with seeking help when you feel the need to. In fact, it is good you are aware of it and are addressing it.
We all can become overwhelemed and certain triggers affect each of us differently, depending on so many factors of our life and genetics.
How are you doing? What are you studying in school? Have you reached out to counselors at your school in the mean time?

I think my depression and anxiety stem from fear of failure. Before my diagnosis and related problems I was the best at school, top of my class and ready to take on the world. Now I've failed a pre-req for the Master's program twice and only get one more try. I took time off of school, live with my parents, and work a dead-end job... and I fear I may not even be good at that! I just... I'm scared. My future no longer looks bright. What if I can't even survive on my own now? Who am I anymore? I'm terrified.

@kaitlynn326... perhaps you are stressed out because of the pre-req and that has made it spiral out? Do you think that is possible?
What is the pre-req? is it a class or an exam?
How is your family in support?
Can you take time off to reanalyze everything, calm yourself down, seek out therapy if needed and/or medication, and then get back to it?

@Lee__R I’m trying to get better day by day... Maybe I just need to take some time off to get myself back together.. I’m not sure what the case may be but I am willing to do whatever it takes to get over this in my life. I am taking up Accounting Technology so it’s a must I stay focused on school work.

Definitely.. I'm very stressed about it. And it's a class
My family has been fantastic, they've even let me move back home to take a year off of school to try and get my medication right.

After a few months, I witnessed an incident in which a friend was involved in an accident. He recovered, but then he became depressed. He always causes accidents, and ultimately, on the advice of the a depression therapist, he underwent therapy. He's alright now.
