I just had mu 4th infusion. And so far I have had very little flare ups. I also just had an MRI done of my brain and thoracic spine. Hopefully no new lesions are active. I will let everyone know.

MS is a terrible disease. I used to go over any terrain and know I would end up on my feet. Now I have problems just walking. But I am thankful thought, I was a carpenter and had to be good on my feet, and went many years without anybody knowing I had MS? But the last 4 years it's really taking its toll. My working days are over with?

I have been taking Ampyra, a specialized twice daily pill which helps protect the nerves in my legs, allowing me to continue to walk without any reaction to my infusions. I have continued taking it through three different infusions, Tysabri, Lemtrada, and now Ocrevus. The twice daily pill aids in my balance and gait, as well

I’m about to get my 5th Infusion of Ocrevus, and so far, I only had difficulty with my 1st Infusion. The day after, I couldn’t get out of bed. My Husband had to carry me to the bathroom, because when I tried to use my walker, my legs wouldn’t cooperate for a few hours. I didn’t have that trouble again. The Infusions have been arduous, but mainly “ uneventful.” I have Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, and if anything, my condition hasn’t gotten worse, which leads me to believe the infusions have “ delayed” that from happening.

This is good information. My doctor is thinking of putting me on it when I see her next. Right now I am not taking anything.

I have been on Ocrevus for about 1 year and a few months. The only complaint I have is that it bothers my skin. That is it.

@Pelaton what treatment was your neuro thinking that would help with your walking? My husband has PPMS and just had his second round of Ocrevus His walking is continuing to worsen at a rapid rate and I am desperately trying to help keep him mobile and as independent as possible The Ocrevus has caused a lot of muscle spasms and deep pain so we need an alternative

Hello,
I am currently taking Beta interferons and participating in physical therapy 3x a week. I also try to get sufficient rest each day and eat organic to help my body recover.
However, I learned of the new drug Ocrevus, which was just recently approved by the FDA. Has anyone tried it? An recommendations.
According to the Mayo Clinic, it says it treats both the relapse-remitting and primary progressive forms of MS. Clinical trials showed it reduced relapse rate in relapsing disease and slowed worsening of disability in both forms of the disease.
