Hello... I know I was diagnosed as a baby or a very young child. I am now 28. I am diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. My name is Tom and I am looking forward to meeting others like me.

Since there is no simple blood test or examination that can diagnose autism spectrum disorder, diagnosis can be difficult and delayed.
In some cases, diagnosis can be made while the individual is still a toddler; however, often a diagnosis may not be received until later in the child's life; in some cases cases the diagnosis may be delayed until the individual's teen years and in rarer cases into adulthood.
How about you? When were you diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder? If diagnosis was delayed was there any factors as to why?
