I am in a severe flare with neuropathic pain due to RA and fibromyalgia. It's mainly in one foot and three toes. I realize that nothing really helps this pain (very much) but has anyone tried any other methods of dealing with it (like meditation or?) Sometimes I feel I can control it a bit when I completely relax my body so I wonder if there is a mind/body connection that I just don't know about. I feel desperate to find solution as the pain and burning is non-stop. It comes in painful spasms and nothing helps. I take Ibuprofen and Tylenol ones but it helps very little. CBD cream helps a bit but not for long. Does anyone else have fibromyalgia with this? Does anyone have it come is spasms?

@Edythe I also have pain from my RA. It used to be mostly in my elbow and arms, but I've started having it in my feet now too. I know what you mean, I've tried just about everything and nothing I've taken has worked. I've heard that anti-depressants can actually help neuropathy but I don't really want to add another medication to my roster. I've been thinking about looking into acupuncture for it but I'm not sure it would help either.

@karm!nR they make you gain a lot of weight. Well Lyrica and gabapentin made me gain 60-70 pounds. I'm trying to find an alternative

It's a tough one for sure. I was on Elavil for years and came off it last fall because I felt it was affecting my REM sleep and made my restless legs worse. I have been on Methotrexate for RA for many years and I have (luckily) had no side effects. It really works for me. In terms of physical pain, the fibromyalgia and the neuropathy are the worst. Aching legs are helped by lots of stretching and my restless legs are so much better now that I am off the Elavil. CBD helps with the neuropathy which comes and goes - but lately I've had a flare lasting 3 weeks so far. Living in coastal BC is not the best environment for these diseases. It seems that we all just have to try and figure it out for ourselves.

@Edythe what did you take for your restless leg syndrome. Mine has been really bad lately, and I can’t even sleep.

@Edythe I'll have to retry CBD again. I think things have changed in recent years and it's become more "mainstream" so maybe it's more effective now. I hope your flare clears up soon!

Unfortunately it helps for only a short time but anything is better than nothing. Have you tried the CBD oil? I haven't and I'm wondering if it's better. If either of us comes up with anything new to try we can share that info!

I have just recently tried the CBD Oil and the CBD Cream. It has not helped me. I even tried the CBD Candy. I had a stroke coupled with the arthritic pain including Lupus. I have developed Neuropathy in my left hand and both of my feet. I have been taking several medications for approximately eight years. Nothing has really helped. However, the medication takes the edge off so that I can deal with the constant pain!

So sorry to hear about you having so much pain. Most people with this are also dealing with at least one other diagnosis. It is a long and frustrating journey but good to share.

Ambassador@Somya.P My neurologist gave me a script through the state dispensary for aid with sleep. It helps with sleep. The script is for low dose THC, so it aids with minor pain. I have learned through my trials of product that CBD gummies help with sleep, but not pain. In my state, CBD gummies can be bought at local corner stores.

@HelloKitty I started taking kratom when I was diagnosed with cervical dystonia, it means I have constant pulling of my neck and shoulder muscles. Botox is the primary treatment , 6 to 8 shots targeting muscles but its hit and miss. I told a friend about this and he told me about kratom, so I went to a kratom shop and talked to the owner. He learned I was an Army Veteran and sold me some capsules. Unbelievable the kratom knocked out the pain and relieved some of the spasms and pulling that was 5 years ago, and I am still taking it for chronic pain. I have found the vendors to trust and a fbook website to share experiences with others. Like all things kratom must be handled with common sense, and reading info on the web helps educate us all. IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT HELPS WITH MY CHRONIC PAIN

Yes I agree. Im on morphine and Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen and yours as well. I have some others also. If I want to work in the back yard, I am sleep mode if I set down. The next morning and at night is paying with great pain. Its a hard road in many ways. We have to keep going best as we can. Have a smile and good day to you. I have the stimulator too.

Anyone out there that has awful pain with Neuropathy? I have shooting pain, numbness and tingling in my feet! Mostly my toes and the balls of both feet are affected. I take tramadol and Morin for the pain at home, but if I'm going out,I take C.B.D.oil and a vicodin before leaving! I also use C.B.D.cream or Bio-freeze for relief at night.
