@Nita58 I'm not putting anyone down. I'm reminding people that there are all sorts of excuses for not wearing a mask and/or not getting the vaccine. As I'm 80 years old, with emphysema and chronic bronchitis, if anyone should be able to come up with excuses for not wearing a mask it would be me. However, I can breathe through a medical grade mask, as can doctors, nurses, and techs in operating rooms during surgeries that could take many hours. I also have a history of unusual allergies, a skin rash and difficulty breathing from the use of anything with aloe in it for one and also an allergy to Symbicort (a common treatment for emphysema), so I wear a medical alert bracelet that calls attention to those two substances. However, I did get the vaccine as the benefits far outweigh the risks as far as I'm concerned and my pulmonologist agrees with me. In fact, as he's also a critical care specialist he's authorized to administer the vaccine, which he did.

I am new to this covid post, but have now had both my first and second vaccines for covid, but am still careful and wearing a mask everywhere. My only side effects from it were related to my fibromyalgia, as I had what seemed to be a flair after the second. Plan to get the booster, as my spleen was removed during cancer surgery so I could get anything easily. Side effects were much worse when I got my shingles shot! Ugh!

Me and my family have not changed a thing since day one. Went to work every day. Traveled to see family and attended family reunions. Go to the store daily. My mother, uncle, sister in law, nephew, and coworkers have had it. One death. My grandma who was 84. Do I think she died of Covid no. My thoughts are this….. if you put a weak body on forced oxygen or whatever…… it will eventually stop doing what it should on its own due to the fact of why should it keep working if something else is doing it for the body.
she died as soon as they removed the machine. She was on it less than a week. Something doesn’t set right with me. That was October 2020.
just a few days before they “had” to put her on a by-pap machine they had her release papers ready.
I honestly think fresh air and living helps.
im not saying that the way anyone chooses to deal with this is wrong. These are just my feelings. Consistency is key.

Honestly, i will never get the shot many people have dies getting the shot and thats not why i don’t want it. You can still get covid 19, all of its symptoms, and 90% of people that get the vaccine and get covid die. And isn’t it kind of stingy that the government sees all the things wrong with this vaccine but they’re still giving it out? I will never get that vaccine i would rather have covid itself.

I'm not getting the vaccine COVID had been around for years and we should have done had a vaccination if the virus was that bad. The flu has killed more than the Coronavirus.

Just had my booster vaccine! Do not take chances is my opinion. I believe peoples hearts and lungs get compromised with chemo, so it is important to have a mild dose if you get covid.

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany), as well as Moderna (USA), announced last month that their vaccine candidates are around 94 and 95% "effective" in preventing COVID-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trials, which are still ongoing.
Earlier this week, the White House Coronavirus Task Force was in discussion about the FDA approval (slated for December 10th at the earliest), with rumors of a vaccine launch as early as the week of December 14th!
What do you think about this? Would you be interested in getting vaccinated against COVID-19 once the vaccine is available?
Feel free to discuss and share in the comments below!
Take care,
Courtney
