I was told during a gall bladder attach at the ER! Same for me, “you have a mass in your liver, probably just benign fat! No explanation, no plan of care, nothing!

I was told that for Nash there is nothing out there for me now so I was directed to a research study so that’s what I am doing now. I am a person who is helping the doctors or research company’s trying to find a solution medication that work. Now I have 11 months on a med called selonsitib.

@Rpsampson how is that medication doing for you?
I have never heard of it? Is it a drug in the experimental stage?
Do you know what it is supposed to do in regard to treating or controlling NASH?

You can google selonsitib and you will find lots on line but remember this is a drug still in experimental stages and it is not FDA approved at this time. The hope here for everyone especially the Nash patients is that the drug will help the liver heal especially when you’re at stage 4 like I am. There are other drugs out there to also In study’s so we have lots of hope today. I learned also that 800 IU of vitamin E is also beneficial combination with proper diet and exercise. As of right now my azt and ast blood work numbers are very good so for now I will continue what’s working. Thanks

After reading these posts I feel very fortunate to have had an excellent doctor who took a great amount of time explaining everything. I learned some time later that takeing Allopurinol can help fatty liver disease. Does anyone else have any information about this.

I was diagnosed 5 years ago,,, was told nothing. What I've learned had been through my own research.

One of the main complaints of those diagnosed with Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is that the doctor spent little to no time explaining to them their condition, the prognosis, and the plan of care at the appointment where they received their diagnosis or where they were told the findings of the medical studies revealing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
What has been your experience? Did you have a similar experience or did your doctor explain to you the condition? The plan of care?
