Hey @smiles12 How are you?
Thank you for starting this discussion today. Diabetes can cause a lot of changes in everyday habits, including the daily diet we might be used to. I hope you find a great healthy diet to follow! I will tag some members, who might want to share their thoughts on this topic and hopefully we all can discuss!

@Polina.K Losing weight is essential. The way I do it is portion control and healthier food choices, Check for sugar content. It is okay if you see a small amount, however if you see 15% and higher, consider looking for foods that are lower. Take your medication as directed and the with insulin.

It's awesome that you're motivated to go on a diet and lose some weight. With type 2 diabetes, it's important to focus on a healthy and balanced diet to manage your blood sugar levels effectively. One popular approach is the Mediterranean diet, which emphasizes fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats like olive oil. This can help you achieve weight loss while providing essential nutrients For more information and guidance, I recommend checking out the website Reverse Health. They offer valuable resources and support for managing diabetes through diet and lifestyle changes.
