Hi @ken0860 I know this is a very late response. That is a pretty signifant increase and your BG was way out of control! I am glad you went to the doctor and have been taking care of it. How has your experience been with the medication?
Has your blood glucose level and a1c normalized since taking Ozempic? What about weight... did Ozempic increase further weight loss? I have heard tese GLP-1 medications do.
I hope all is well and hope to hear from you!

@ken0860 I too have high A1C’s and I’m terrible about eating the right things. I feel deprived and like I’m on a diet when I do try to control my numbers by eating better. I want to try one of those glucose monitors that you wear continuously.
I have heard multiple people say that it helps them eat better when they see glucose results at that moment. Like you eat less because you say how high your glucose is.
Good luck to you

I have been on Victoza for about six months, along with 500mg Metformin twice a day. The Victoza seemed to keep my sugar numbers down in the 130 range, along with decent food intake control. Last week, my doctor switched me to Ozempic (.25 for two weeks then .5 ). Ozempic is a once a week medication and so far after six days I have not been able to get my sugar below 200!! Does anybody know how long before I start seeing results from the Ozempic,; or maybe never and I will go back to Victoza.
Appreciate any input from somebody using Ozempic.
Ozempic charts show that after four weeks, numbers should start declining.

I have been dealing with high a1c for years. Normally between 6.3 and 6.8. Taking metformin. My last a1c was about 9 months ago and was 6.5.
Fast forward, I have been losing weight for a month and was very thirsty all the time. Went to my Dr and my a1c ballooned to 13.4 with a fasting blood sugar of 339.
I was floored that it rose so quickly and am really scared.
He put me on Ozempic along with my metformin. Do any of you have any experience with this and if so, how long till I see some improvement. I have instituted a very low carb diet and started walking about 30 minutes a day.
Just want a little hope.
