well I’ve been lonely all my life. I’ve also fought this disease since I was 15. I’m 57 now. I find that I can relate and get along with younger people and the elderly. It’s people my age or around my age I have trouble with. My life is slowly getting better. I’m teaching myself how to slow down one way or the other. And the public so needs educated to metal health issues. Thanks. Shelia from Arkansas, US

@Aprild101 I feel the same way. I lost all my friends because most of the time I wasn't in the mood to talk to them or do things with them I would love to find a friend to talk to that understands my mood swings

My zoom metings;woman’ from “ lost and found”: a 24/7 aa group ...a woman’s zoom at three eastern time.....I’ve gotten to know several of them as my family and feel honestly truthful with them. IHad a nervous break down in 2019 and it’s great to have other people to get encouragement with and can understand.

Hi everyone! I feel so alone all the time. Even when surrounded by my family or 2 best friends. I feel like nobody knows the real me. I’m always putting on an act because most of the time I’m going through something with my bipolar, anxiety or PTSD. I’m all over the place! Help!

@Happyness I am lonely too even though I live with someone. He has bipolar, but his manifests in anger and depression, while mine is now at depression, loneliness, and severe anxiety. My cat curls up with me, which helps some. I think she senses my moods. I don't have an answer for you, just feel the same way.

@Jenny0808 I often do and wasn't able to leave the house for over a week. A little better the past 2 days but so lonely even with my cat and my fiance/roommate. But he doesn't really understand and I cry over everything and nothing.

@magicpamela Yes! I think that the reason we feel alone in a room full of people is that those people are not bothered by bipolar disorder but are "normal" and have no idea what it is like nor the inclination to learn anything about us who live with this condition.

I was diagnosed as manic depressive when i was 10 years old. Im now 38 and struggle everyday with being bipolar 1. With the severe depression and anxiety from all the trauma from my childhood ive found life almost unable to live and function day to day. I have been in hospitals since august and spent 23 days in a state hospital during a manic episode that lasted 6 months. I thought people were outside my window and wouldnt sleep and became very aggresive. I just left the hospital again last week for depression and being suicidal which is the last phase of a manic episode. I feel like my life is helpless and i dont see the point getting out of bed or going outside. Im just saying all this just in case someone can relate to me. Ive attempted suicide on mutliple occassions never succesful even though the last time i drank enough pooison to take out an elephant. Ive had good days and good moments in life but they are few and far between. Depression amd bipolar suck.

Hi friends from a country far away I would like to ask people who suffer from bipolar disorder how they succeed in bearing loneliness, that, unfortunately, is a characteristic of our disease. Thank you
