Hello juju345, thank you for opening this discussion. Let me tag some other members who can possibly share with you.
Hi everyone, have any of you been prescribed glimepiride (Amaryl) to help with your diabetes? If so, can you share a bit about your experience? Has it helped? Did or have you had any side effects?

I was only diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a few months ago. My dr put me on metformin and januvia. I had some side effects to the metformin. Like diarreha and nausea. I didn't experience any bad effects from the januvia. Im doing well on the metformin now.
Have a blessed day !

I have been on this inhibitor for 2 years. It works for me. I do need to be true to my diet. This drug helps your pancreas produce more insulin check your glucose more often. Can make sugar low. My readings in morning are between 88 to 99. Unless i eat pizza or peanut butter so i try to resist. Nibble on fruit and vegetables. In summer i run community gardens so tend yo be lower in glucose. Check before dinner t timeand eat according to my reading baked chicken breast or leg of lamb or broiled fish. Salad daily with dinner and vegetable. If sugar low i can cook brown rice or cauliflower pizza or pasta. Night time fruit. A1c is 5.2 since 3 weeks ago. Was 6.2
