I am at a cross road of trying to find housing on a disability income and avoid returning home to my mom's house and also maintain my functioning so I can relate to that. Also my fear would be what you are going through with providers it took me so long to find competent ones I trust. All you can do is be your best advocate and keep reaching out to those who understand through these posts I suppose. I wish I had answers but such as life sometimes there just are not that is why living with bipolar makes it even more challenging. Hope this finds you well

@Morckster I worry about finding a place to live after my mother passes one day. Right now I am living with here because I can't handle living on my own and I'm also taking care of her too. It scares me so much to think about it. Especially with the way rent is right now...who know how much it will be when I have to find my own place.

I totally understand you. It is hard to plan ahead when you do not have resources to do so. I am applying for every subsidized housing option near or far since it takes forever.

@Morckster It's rough and rough on the psyche too. Definitely doesn't help the bipolar.

I agree it does take a lot of help from your support system such as family friends and whomever else. It is so easy to get burned out on this disease, both by patient and by their support system. The only thing I can credit any success to is that I take the latuda every single night of my life.

@Classycathy Absolutely! Try the cannabis pens. The come in Sativa (energetic high), Indica (a mellow and relaxing high) or blends. You can read on the box to see what the strain type is so you don’t grab the wrong one. I use Indica during my manic episodes. While it doesn’t completely rid me of the mania, but it definitely helps and gives me some relief. I believe you can buy them online. Our friends usually have them on hand so we get ours that way. Good luck!🍀

Hi, I've been having a hard time at work lately and I'm afraid I'm going to get fired. I had to take off work a few days recently because I was having a depressive episode and my boss was really not happy about it. Has anyone else been through this? I don't really know what to do
