You don't have to go to a gym to lose weight. I walk most days and keep my calories under 1200 per day.
I thought I would never be able to lose weight again at my age but it is working! And success makes me want to stick to it 🙂

Losing weight when you're not sick can also be a problem. Here it is important to build the right eating habits and remember that proper nutrition is not a diet, it should always be in your life. Do not try to lose weight in a short time - this will not help you become healthier either. There are many calculators on the Internet for calculating calories for your desired weight - use it and discuss the results with your doctor! And of course, do not forget about physical activity. It can be simple walks, bike rides, I have Tomasso, cleaning, gardening - everything that allows you to move and be active should be in your life.

As I just posted with my experience with meds, I started the Dr. Joel Fuhrman vegetarian approach and it's done wonders with me. I need to get back into that.
The food pyramid that Canada recommends, is useless. Misleading at best. It's historically been influenced by the dairy industry, and we all know how that went.
I lost 30 pounds very quickly using this method and I always recommend people have a look. My numbers were better on this diet with no meds, than when taking the meds, which kept me in bed all day and night.

Hi guys,
I am Type - 2 Diabetes. Been diagnosed for about 3 years now. My most difficult issue is losing weight. I do exercise 3 - 4 days a week and try to eat healthy, but I just cant seem to keep the weight off.
Any suggestions?
